Welcome to the Mooroolbark Junior Soccer Club!
In 2010 we are running different programmes in several
age groups;
-
Under 7 boys and girls play 'Small Sided
Football'. We are running FFV affiliated programmes developing
skills in SSF for children between 5 and 7 years of age. This level
of SSF involves Saturday morning skills and game sessions with 4 to 5 players
per side, mixed with gala days played about once a month with other local clubs.
-
Under 9 to Under 11 boys and girls play an extended format of SSF, seeing them play begin weekly training sessions and playing 7-a
side (U9) and 9-a-side (U11) games against other clubs on an increased sized pitch.
-
Under 12 age groups and above play full 11-a-side
games in various divisions.
-
Where we have the numbers, we offer girls teams to
play in the women's competitions. If we don't have the numbers in an
age group, girls are able to play in mixed teams.
-
Currently, standard age groups from Under 11 through
to Under 18 play the standard 11 sided game on a full sized pitch.
-
Our club focus is to be inclusive. Where we
can offer more than one team in an age group, the 'A" team's aim is
to develop that team and the skills of it's players to the best
level possible. It is rewarding, but requires commitment. 'B' or
other grade teams are focused more on player growth, skills
building, teamwork, fun, general fitness and camaraderie.
Team colours;

From 2009 the Mooroolbark Junior Soccer Club
reverted back to the traditional red and white vertical striped strip with
black shorts and socks for our home uniform.
