We’re Celebrating a Big Win at the 2026 Outstanding Food Producer Awards

It's not bragging. The judges started it.

We’re super proud to share that we’ve received five awards at the 2026 Outstanding Food Producer Awards, recognising a variety of much-loved products that we launched over the last 14 months.

The Outstanding Food Producer Awards are among New Zealand’s most respected food awards, judged by a panel of industry experts including chefs, food writers, buyers and producers, led by head judge Peter Gordon.

Products are assessed on flavour, aroma, appearance, texture and overall quality, with additional consideration given to environmental and social sustainability. We’re thrilled to see our products recognised with three Gold and two Silver Awards.

Gold Award Winners

Our Gold Award products stood out for their balance, flavour and quality. Here are the judge’s thoughts:

• Barker’s Raspberry & Lemonade Slushie: “A really refreshing slushie. Acid and sweetness beautifully balanced.”
• Barker’s ‘The Better’ Squeezy BBQ Sauce: “Well balanced with a silky-smooth texture and good flavours.”
• Barker’s Smoky Onion & Jalapeño Squeezy Relish: “Fantastic texture, aroma and appearance. Good length of heat with well-developed flavours.”

Silver Award Winners

We were also pleased to see these favourites awarded Silver:

• Barker’s Nectarine & Chipotle Sammie Relish: “Good aroma and judges enjoyed the flavours.”
• Barker’s Squeezy Strawberry Fruit Preserve: “A very nice jam, deep caramelly flavour, pronounced fruit and well-balanced acidity.”
