Tex Mex Smash Burger Tacos

Crispy-edged beef, melted cheese and soft tortillas make for the best weeknight dinner. You'll be craving these tacos on repeat.

Method

  1. Mix mince with Barker’s Smoky Onion with Jalapeño Relish. Divide into 8 portions. Press a thin layer of beef onto each of the tortillas, pushing it right to the edges. Season well.
  2. Heat a frying pan or barbecue plate over high heat. Add a little oil and then one of the tortillas, beef-side down. Press down with a burger press or large spatula. Cook for 1 minute, then flip, top with a cheese slice and cook for 30 seconds. Remove from pan and repeat with remaining tacos.
  3. Top with corn, red onion, and jalapeños. Squeeze Barker’s Smoky Onion with Jalapeño Relish on top and garnish with coriander.

Notes

  1. If you have a gas stove, you can pre-char your tortillas for extra smoky flavour.
